Shakespeare workshop

Although there's no actual show planned for May, we've arranged a special one-day acting workshop on Saturday 18th May, open to non-members and led by RSC and NODA summer-school voice coach Michael Corbidge

More details here - we've chosen Shakespeare as likely to be of interest to most people, but no prior knowledge or experience is assumed.

Workshop leader Michael Corbidge currently lectures in Acting, Performance, Voice and Classical Text at Rose Bruford College of the Arts. He leads NODA Summer School courses and also guests at a number of UK establishments including: the Brit School, Brighton Institute for Contemporary Theatre Training and Central School of Speech and Drama.

Michael is a Senior Associate Practitioner with the Voice and Text department at the Royal Shakespeare Company. He also holds a Senior Trainer/Mentorship role in the ‘Open Stages’ program at the RSC, which continues to develop the relationship between the community and the amateur/community and emerging professional world..

He is a consultant, selector, adjudicator and trainer with The National Student Drama Festival, The National Youth Theatre, National Opera and Drama Association, National Association of Youth Theatres, Trinity. Mono-Box and The Dyslexic Association and a regular on both the International and UK drama school circuit.

Please let Julie know as soon as possible if you'd like to come (payment in advance is required). If you're interested in the workshop but don't actually want to participate, it may be possible to come along as an 'observer' for a reduced fee
