A Christmas Carol

Performances: 2-5 December 2026, St Michael's Church, Betchworth

Director: Gail Lowe

BODS presents the classic story by Charles Dickens, adapted for the stage by director Gail Lowe to include much of the original dialogue and characters, and featuring familiar Christmas music. For the first time we are performing in St Michael's church Betchworth, which provides an atmospheric backdrop for this ghostly tale

A Christmas Carol is the story of how Ebeneezer Scrooge, an elderly miser, is visited by the ghosts of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet to Come. He is transformed into a kinder, gentler man. Our stage version includes passages dealling with Ebeneezer's earlier life which are often omitted
